I'm an IT security professional who can't survive
without an IV drip of coffee. That doesn't mean I
like the cheap stuff. My constant struggle is to
keep my Krups 10-pot coffee maker clean so it doesn't
produce bad tasting coffee.

I used bottled water and clean it out with CLR from
time to time - that brings back the flavor for a few
weeks, but I am always looking for a way to keep it
clean longer.

Any tips would be welcome.

I have an old Krups combo unit that makes
10 cups and also has an espresso maker. It
is literally 16 years old and is still going.

I know that eventually its going to break, but
I can't find very many options out there todayy
that have a 10 cup / espresso combination.

Anyone have any recent experience with buying
one of these types of machines? There are several
on Amazon but they have a significant number
of bad reviews.

There is a Starbucks about a block away. This
is good because I need two cups before I can
figure out what I have to do each day. Its all
just too complicated sometimes.

Get some Black Rife "CAF" coffee - double
the caffeine - you obviously need it.

Yes, but water down CAF with something else - its
too strong to be drunk by itself.
