I remember that - Eclipse S130 with a tape drive that would fail from time to time with a sound that resembled farting. Poor chem grad student who had to run it was always frazzled by it. |

His name was Larry Wheeler. DAC wasn't able to do anything useful with that system except sit there showing off his big "privileged mode prompt (it was a "*)" wasn't it. DAC had to ask permission to be a super user, I was able to get it without asking because I was smarter than he was. |
