6. WTF - January is 2/3rds Gone
John Palmer 17:21 Fri Jan 20/23 9 lines

Last years going fast - already 60 and this year is
racing forward like crazy.

At least we don't have any snow yet - but heard that
a polar vortex is coming in February.

May do some winter hiking in Oakland County in Feb.
Will be back in MI around the 18th if anyone is
interested.

Wes and I "hiked" to the univeristy when in Montreal
many a winter. That was brutal. Even given that, I miss
a good winter walk in the snow.

6/2. John Palmer 21:49 Fri Jan 20/23 3 lines

"When I was a kid, we had to walk to school in
a blizzard, up a hill, backwards without shoes
at 2 in the morning when it was -500f...."

6/3. Trevor and Sinclair 00:16 Mon Jan 23/23 2 lines

Sinclair and I keep Binky and Winston warm. They
are such sweet tigers....

6/4. Jim Sharpe 19:43 Thu Jan 26/23 6 lines

NAUGHTY NAUGTHY...

As for winter weather, state parks have night-time
lantern hikes. If its not too cold, I may try that
but Feb is going to be a polar vortex month.

Now January is almost over - just 3 days left.
St. Clair Shores has its annual Aqua Freeze fest
that is past already, but you can look up info
here: https://scsmi.net/Calendar.aspx?EID=7944

Wes and I are staying away from restaurants this
weekend through next weekend because of the hoards
of people falling prey to the commercialization of
Valentine's day. Lets face it, its always been about
people making money. You should treat your loved one
with respect 365 days of the year, not just on
special days like anniversaries and especially not
just on a "holiday" contrived to make someone more
money.

6/7. John Palmer 22:40 Fri Feb 10/23 2 lines

I'm going to the gym tomorrow and then ordering
a Lou Malnati's pizza.

6/8. Victor Davis Hanson 01:26 Sat Feb 11/23 16 lines

More work in the barn tomorrow. I have to clean out
and get rid of a bunch of rusty parts from old
tractors that I don't need anymore and no one wants
even for scrap. It will be in the upper 50's with
some showers around - thats fine - just perfect for
work - you get warmed up with hard work.

Still trying to digest that dog's breakfast of a
SOTU speech. He looked like grampa hobbling around
yelling at the neighborhood kids for making too
much noise - especially when the Republicans yelled
at him and called him out for his lying.

I feel we will survive this. People are already starting
to turn away from this nonsense. Just hope we don't do
too much permanant damage.

6/9. Dave Crutcher 19:25 Mon Feb 13/23 3 lines

Hey Victor - be sure to take your shotgun when you
are out in the barn. You may need to shoot down a
Chinese balloon.

6/10. Jim Sharpe 09:25 Thu Feb 16/23 3 lines

You mean shoot down some guy's hobby drone. At least
the last three were. I think the big one was
a bonafide PRC spycraft.

6/11. 4 0hs 03:19 Fri Feb 17/23 4 lines

Some hobbyists are missing their balloon. They said
the lost track of it over the Yukon right about when
that F-22 shot something down. Sidewinders are $400k
each. China is laughing their ass off at us.

6/12. Tod Levitan 12:04 Mon Feb 20/23 3 lines

There is another one near Hawaii. Its another
big one like the 1st Chinese spycraft. Shoot
it down now.

6/13. Paul O'Leary 07:02 Wed Feb 22/23 3 lines

At least we are going to expel that bible-thumping
nazi Putin from Ukraine. I'd say nuke Moscow and be
done with it.

6/14. Jim Sharpe 11:44 Wed Feb 22/23 8 lines

Thats why you libtards hate Putin - not because
he is a butcher who started an unjust war (he
is), but because his country is the last bastion
of unspoiled Western Christendom in the world and
you (and Soros and Klaus (the real NAZI) Schwab)
want to stomp it out. I (and millions of others)
see right through you and will not let you do
that.

6/15. Paul O'Leary 12:12 Wed Feb 22/23 3 lines

The sooner the better - the world has to evolve
into what's next. These ideas should have died
a long time ago.

6/16. Doris Allen 17:45 Thu Feb 23/23 4 lines

Ice storm wasn't too bad up here in HW. It was
too warm and got warmer overnight. People along
the Ohio state line got nailed. Heard that there
were some issues in Troy, but not in HW or RO.

6/17. John Palmer 17:52 Thu Feb 23/23 7 lines

Chicago itself got all rain. It was around 33
all day long and actually went up to 40 by 2am.

My brother-in-law's son lives in Tecumseh and they
got hit hard. I haven't heard from him, but they
Consumer's outage map shows that most of Tecumseh is
out.

6/18. Liz Palmer 13:44 Sun Feb 26/23 9 lines

Tucson got snow this month. We got 4 inches. The
people here had no idea what to do. We don't have
any snowplows. I scared them all when I told them
that once they get a plow, that they have to
clean their driveway bib off quickly after the
plow comes through or else it will freeze into a
chunk of immovable ice. You should have seen the
look of horror on their faces when I described
growing up in Detroit.

6/19. Paula Sanch 09:59 Mon Feb 27/23 3 lines

I don't really pay attention to the weather anywhere
becuase I'm dead and it doesn't matter. I'm so stressed
out, where's my valium...

6/20. Siobhan Medbhb O'Roarke 23:05 Wed Mar 1/23 2 lines

As this is January-ish, I will close as we have
a March themed discussion already
